This book cover is a re-design of The Secret History by Donna Tartt. The story follows six classical literature students at an elite college in Vermont, slowly uncovering a mystery involving a murder, and is regarded as a pioneer of the dark academia literary sub-genre. In greek mythology, fire symbolises both intellect and destruction which makes the burning candle a fitting focal point for the book cover.
